If you have got a bright idea for a product or service that could benefit the Hunter, the Smart Ideas competition is open for business. 

IF you have got a bright idea for a product or service that could benefit the Hunter, the Smart Ideas competition is open for business. 

In its second year, the competition is held in conjunction with the Hunter Innovation Festival in June. 

Written entries must be 500 words or less, accompanied by an illustration or photographs. Video entries must be less than 3 minutes. 

The winner receives $1000 and a $1000 mentoring package from Hunter Founders Forum and Business Centre Newcastle Region. 

The top three ideas will be asked to make a 90-second presentation to the Hunter Innovation Festival  in June before a winner is named.  

Enter via online.media@theherald.com.au or deliver to 28 Honeysuckle Drive, Newcastle, by June 1.
